A report published in the February, 2007 issue of the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition described the finding
of researchers in Sweden that men and women who have a higher intake of vitamin A from food and supplements
have half the risk of developing stomach cancer than that experienced by
those whose intake is low.
Insulin is very important for our body. Insulin is the hormone that coverts sugar,
starch, and other food into energy that we need
for our daily activities. If our body does
not produce or properly use insulin then we will have diabetes.
In America alone there are now 23.6 million children and adults who have diabetes.
17.9 million of them have been diagnosed while 5.7
million of them have not. That is why it is very important to know about
diabetes. |
